We often take our vehicles suspension systems for granted

After years of supporting heavy metal, the shocks will begin to wear out and suspension repair will be needed.

Though it’s easy to identify the symptoms, figuring out the source of the problem can be difficult. If you notice any of the following indicators, it’s important you get your vehicle looked at by a professional, as weak or faulty suspension parts can cause safety issues and increased tyre wear.

Taking the time to recognise the symptoms of suspension issues can be the difference between a safe journey and a dangerous one. Suspension faults that are left undiagnosed and untreated can cause further damage to other vehicle parts, over time increasing the repair bill.

Have you recently been experiencing a rough and bumpy ride within your vehicle?

This is a sure sign that your suspension system is starting to wear and repair is needed.

If you are driving on a flat paved road but driving feels like you are off-road, it’s time to contact us. This could indicate that your shock absorbers have had a leak. Shock absorbers are designed to keep tyres on the road and when they’re not working as they should, you’ll be able to feel every tiny bump you drive over.

Difficult steering? Whilst the pulling of your car may make steering difficult, if you are also experiencing an issue when driving slowly it could indicate an issue with your suspension system. Suspension issues can cause steering to feel like it’s slipping when you turn the wheel or hold it in a turned position.
